Which Religion Is Good?

Which Religion Is Good?

Doubt Everything Find Your Own Light.

A few months ago, in my community center I picked up a newspaper and read about a new Messiah called John de Ruiter, the hot shot guru from Canada whom some of his followers reckon to be “bigger than Jesus”. The article was an interview with Joyce, his wife of 18 years, and the mother of his three children. She was rejecting the claim of her husband to be God (A man worshiped as God may shock a Muslim but not a Christian who accepts the concept of trinity and Jesus as walking God among men).

After many years of forbearance Joyce De Ruiter could no longer bear it and one day she stood in front of his congregation and complained about her husband’s sexual affairs with two of his young and beautiful followers. These two girls are sisters and their parents who are also the followers of John de Ruiter, are ecstatic to know that God makes love to their daughters. The funny thing is that the followers of this new messiah know about the sexual interludes of their master but few give a second thought about it. Once people accept someone as a superior being, a messiah or a messenger of God they become blind to all his flaws and commend even his sins. No Muslim today, e.g. would approve promiscuity. Womanizing and lustfulness is considered immorality. Yet the same Muslims accept with no difficulty Muhammad’s promiscuous relationships with a score of women: some his wives, some his maids, some his shares of the booties from the spoils of his wars and some who just offered themselves to him.

De Ruiter Told his congregation that “Truth has told him” to sleep with these girls. How many of his brainwashed followers asked whether “Truth” has a mouth to speak? When someone surrenders his intelligence to someone else, he will believe anything. Truth is a concept not a person or a being. How can a concept talk or communicate? The true answer to 2+2 is 4. Any other answer is false. Can I say that 4 told me this or that? How ridiculous is this claim?

De Ruiter denies these relationships are actual affairs, because he claims to be bonded to these women in a spiritual realm (Apparently Mr. De Ruiter’s spiritual realm is in his bed). “To me it’s not infidelity”, says the self-proclaimed savior of Mankind “It’s not unfaithfulness because my heart is still completely with Joyce.” Moreover being a god his fornication with these two beautiful well-trimmed young sisters is not for lust but it is the expression of his profound love for others and that his threesomes with them has “spiritual significance”, explains in a most relaxed and holy manner the “Guru of Gurus”.

De Ruiter originally denied his adulterous relationship and when it came to the light, he brazenly rationalized it. He says that he originally denied the relationships because he was answering questions on a “personal level.” And on this personal level, he is not having affairs, because the relationships are not about lust or sex or physical attraction. I’m not a sexual wanderer, emotionally. I don’t live with lust. I don’t struggle with that. It’s not a weakness.”

edmontonjournal.com writes:

“While extramarital affairs are in many ways the private business of the parties involved, in this case they indicate a willingness within de Ruiter’s group to accept behaviour that violates cultural norms, says a local academic.

Sociologist Steve Kent worries the lack of controversy within the group over the adultery is indicative of the charismatic sway de Ruiter has with followers.”

Among his followers there is a well established psychologist who claims that after 30 years of practice he has no doubt of John’s mental health and that he is who he claims to be.

Yesterday in my neighborhood market, I saw his flyer pinned to the billboard. It was an invitation to his conferences with these words:

“John de Ruiter: Master of transformation; living embodiment and teacher of Truth.

And;

“Through the living essence of Truth emanating from his words and from his presence, John de Ruiter awakens what our hearts most long for…”

See his web site http://www.johnderuiter.com/

These self-acclaimed prophets, messengers and messiahs rehash ideas that are either commonsense and people already know and accept or state empty phrases that at first seem to convery a profound meaning.

De Ruiter says, “Truth is knowable without restriction, however only honesty through openness and softness of heart reveals it”. This is baloney. Truth is the state of being factual. It has nothing to do with openness and softness of heart; it has everything to do with doubting, with rational thinking and facts. Yet, despite the frivolity and banality of his teachings there is no want of idiots who follow him blindly and call this bozo the “master of transformation.” They are at awe by deceiving and shallow phrases such as above.

John de Ruiter is a lunatic man whose followers think he is greater than Jesus

For those who cannot see a mentally disturbed man behind those eyes a quick review of John de Ruiter’s writings reveal the confusion and incoherence of his thoughts. Words are jumbled in tautological statements and hollow speeches that leave the listener gasping for meaning while the redundancy of vibrant words such as “Truth” and “consciousness” subliminally suggests that something very profound is being said, full of meaning that eludes the ken of the listener. However, after reading a few of his speeches, after getting over his monotonous catchphrases, and pondering over their content, one learns that there is nothing to be learned from them.

The curt and assertive phrases of De Ruiter have an uncanny resemblance to the verses of the Quran, and perhaps those who think the Quran is a miracle; will find De Ruiter’s vacuous writings much to their liking.

I looked at the picture of one of De Ruiter’s conferences and saw the attendees were well-dressed middle-class people, most of them, supposedly with university degrees. I wondered what do these people see in this mentally disturbed man? Why so many educated and “apparently smart” people are so eager to surrender their intelligence to charlatans like John de Ruiter and other impostors like him?

It seems that people are looking for Truth and guidance in all the wrong places. We humans want to believe that there is someone who can tell us what to do and what route to take, sparing us from making responsible decisions on our own. We feed the multi million-dollar psychic network industry in the search for a response and finance multibillion-dollar religious industry in the hope of salvation. We look for magic bullets; we believe in fairies, angels and ghosts. We follow gurus and prophets because we are not willing to take the responsibility of our lives in our own hands, think with our own brain and live conscientiously.

When there are people who want to be followers, there will arise those who will claim to be leaders. When people think like sheep, there will be wolves that pose as shepherds. When we are willing to give a free ride, there will be those who will take us for a ride.

This is how cults are created. Then cults become religion when these self-proclaimed prophets and gurus die. After their death their devotees fabricate myths and legends, attribute miracles to them and portray them as gods and demigods. This is how thousands of hadithes were created attributing miracles to Muhammad, even though in the Quran he clearly stated that he could not perform miracles.

These fables pass from one generation to another and eventually the passage of time seals their credibility until everyone believes in them considering their antiquity and their universal acceptance as the proof of their authenticity and the veracity of the claims of their prophets.

Can anyone really tell us how to find the truth? Is there any religion that can lead us to salvation?

Obviously, truth can be only one. It is unchanging, eternal and infinite. If you believe in God, irrespective of your definition of it, you believe that God is Absolute Truth. The question is whether humans with their limited intellect can grasp the Absolute? Can the finite contain the infinite? Can a cup hold an ocean?

If I am aware of my limited capacity of understanding, I am aware of my ignorance. I know that I don’t know. Truth may be one and infinite, but can I grasp it? No! Yet this does not mean that I should stop searching. In order to understand, I have to ask, I have to be open and non-judgmental, but also I have to realize that I will never find the entire truth because truth is infinite and I am not.

To reach this level of openness, one has to realize that his thoughts and beliefs are largely influenced by his education and environment.  Our present beliefs are the result of our past learning. Since every day we learn something new, our understanding expands and therefore changes. Heraclitus said, you cannot cross the same river twice, because the next time those waters are not the same and you too have changed. As we change, our beliefs change too. This happens gradually and subconsciously, even if we consciously resist the change. During the course of our lives we constantly change and our views change simultaneously.

Once I know that change is constant. I don’t have to hold to my beliefs with tooth and nail. I know they are bound to change. I become detached. I will not try to impose them on others nor will I try to lecture to others. I will not try to lead people to the right path as I will come to realize that truth is pathless. Truth is not something that you can reach or grasp. It is not a destination. No one can lead you to it because it is not a place. No one can show it to you because it is not a thing.

The process of discovering the truth is not unlike the experiments done by scientists to understand how things work. It starts by making theories, but accepting to discard them once they are proven wrong. This is the scientific approach.

Galileo doubted the commonly accepted notion of the geocentric universe. He found that truth was much different from what was universally believed. Many learned men of his time accepted the conventional belief. We remember him and have forgotten them. Darwin is another example. Although a religious man, he questioned and doubted the biblical story of creation and found the mystery of evolution. All discoveries are made after doubting and questioning the validity of the commonly held and time honored beliefs.

Spiritual realities are not dissimilar to scientific ones and the same process of doubting and questioning should be applied to unravel their hidden mysteries. We have to doubt everything, including our own beliefs. When we doubt, we question, we learn and we change our mind. Although we will never learn the truth, we can get closer to it. Truth cannot be contained, not in a mind and definitely not in a book.  How can infinite knowledge be contained in few pages of a book?

Once we learn something new, we don’t discard our previous beliefs but our understanding of it changes. I don’t discard the Divine reality. Just like Galileo who did not reject the Earth but people’s understanding of it, I don’t reject God, but people’s understanding of it. For example, the notion of a personal God that does not care about us for billions of years when we were undergoing evolution and then suddenly, when we have evolved and become humans, appears in our lives, hiding behind the clouds of secrecy, telling us irrational stories through less than educated men whom he sends as messengers, and demands that we worship him or roast us for eternity in his cosmic rotisserie, does not make sense. The stories in the Quran (and the Bible) are absurd. The pathetic efforts of the apologists to explain and justify them are ridiculous. The teachings of these religions are not practical. They seem outdated. Their definition of God, the next world, and the purpose of creation are primitive. Many of their social teachings are harsh and inhumane.

Once religions are tested with rational thinking they fail; I am not saying that truth is somewhere else or that I have found it! Only an impostor or a fool would make such a claim. Truth cannot be found in a doctrine or a religion. This realization is liberating.

It is time that we stopped looking at other people for guidance. As long as people are willing to be fooled, there will be those who will fool them. As long as they want to be followers, there won’t be shortage of charlatans who will mislead them.

Doubt everything that you are told and believe. When you doubt you empty the glass of your mind and become receptive to new knowledge. But don’t hold fast to that knowledge either. Be open and let yet fresher insights breathe a new life into your mind. Religions demand absolute and blind faith. They claim to be the ultimate truth. If you think faith is superior to doubt, you don’t doubt. When you don’t doubt, you don’t search and when you don’t search you don’t find.

The core of Krishnamurti’s teaching is contained in the statement he made in 1929 when he said:

‘Truth is a pathless land’. Man cannot come to it through any organization, through any creed, through any dogma, priest or ritual, not through any philosophic knowledge or psychological technique. He has to find it through the mirror of relationship, through the understanding of the contents of his own mind, through observation and not through intellectual analysis or introspective dissection. Man has built in himself images as a fence of security – religious, political, personal. These manifest as symbols, ideas, and beliefs. The burden of these images dominates man’s thinking, his relationships and his daily life. These images are the causes of our problems for they divide man from man. His perception of life is shaped by the concepts already established in his mind. The content of his consciousness is his entire existence. This content is common to all humanity. The individuality is the name, the form and superficial culture he acquires from tradition and environment. The uniqueness of man does not lie in the superficial but in complete freedom from the content of his consciousness, which is common to all mankind. So he is not an individual.”

If you look for meaning in life, don’t look for it in religions. Don’t go from one cult to another or from one guru to the next. You can spend all your life or look for eternity and will find nothing but disappointment and disillusionment. Look instead in service to humanity. You will find “meaning” in your love for other human beings. You can experience God when you help someone who needs your help. The only truth that counts is love. Love is absolute and real. The rest is mirage, fancies of human imagination and fallacies of our own making.

July 2001

I received this email from a follower of John De Ruiter. I share it with you in the hope that it may force us to question our own belief system and make us think

Dear Ali

Perhaps you did not know, but it is common knowledge that Krishnamurti slept with his followers as well. Is it possible that sexual expression takes on a different meaning to one who has let go of attachments and needs? When you find Truth in yourself, all kinds of desires and needs no longer hold sway over you, but they simply become a natural expression of a body or vehicle… like eating or sleeping with no deeper meaning, no narcissistic supply for your ego. Anyway try reading some of Johns teachings and you will see much the same truth that has been spoken by prophets and teachers (including Krishnamurti) for eons. By the way I do agree with your assesment about people getting attached to Guru’s. It is just an expression of the belief they still have about themselves as a weak finite human with a story that defines them. But maybe they need to believe in something outside themselves until they can find it inside. Maybe the Guru is just mirroring their inner truth back to them. And they will need it til they don’t… I don’t see how any harm is done.

Peace…

Thomas D.

See how faith damages the brain of people? Karl Marx said religion is the opium of the masses. See how right he was?  See how Thomas justifies the shameful acts of infidelity of a crazy man by saying “It is possible that sexual expression takes on a different meaning to one who has let go of attachments and needs”? Isn’t this brainwashing? Is there a substance more potent than faith that could make a person stoop so low? This man is genuinely incapable to see that his guru is a sick man and a pervert that has no control over his animal instincts. He abuses the trust of his brainwashed followers and takes advantage of their gullibility. The stupidity of this poor man is obvious for anyone with a grain of brain, yet he is incapable to see his own follies. Why? Because he is a believer!

I posted this email here to show you how one can believe in the most absurd things and still be convinced of having found the truth. Is it possible that all of us who also “believe” and follow someone else for guidance are as brainwashed as our poor friend Thomas?

If you are a Muslim, recall that Muhammad too had sex with a score of women much younger than himself. Bear in mind that he slept with Ayisha the 9 year old daughter of his brainwashed follower Abu Bakr.  Remember that he killed people and took their properties as booty and distributed their wives and children as slaves and sex slaves.

Just as Thomas instead of being disgusted of indecencies and lustfulness of John De Ruiter is apologetic of him and thinks this is something divine, Muslims read the perversities of Muhammad and see no problem in that.

This brainwashing is not reserved to the followers of De Ruiter and Muhammad. The followers of all religions have their stupid beliefs that they are unable to see. These people can see perfectly the errors of the believers of other religions but are incapable of seeing their own.

Shouldn’t we ask ourselves whether we are also as brainwashed as Thomas? Don’t we believe in crazy ideas with no scientific or logical backing? Why is it that we can see so clearly the follies of others and are so blind of our own? I am not just talking to Muslims but to all those who believe. Those who believe in any religion should ask themselves whether they too are Thomases of their religion.

The following article is about John de Ruiter. It gives a very good insight into the gullibility of human nature and the willingness of some to be fooled. It is an excellent read for those who may wonder why people followed Muhammad, with such resignation and blissful abandonment.

  1. Don't know, have not realized a lot about religion. I read a small book. 'What religion is in the words of Swami Vivekanand'. All other talk of religion seems frivolous. The text above is seems to be very similar to it in it's approach.

  2. I think this is a great article and extremely important. But rather than read a single article, I challenge everyone here, especially believers, to research the various studies done regarding a nations quality of living and its religiosity. With extremely few exceptions, the more secular a society is, the better the quality of living is. In secular countries, many of the problems we think are part of the human experience here in the states, are nearly absent. Things like teen pregnancy, alcoholism, violent crime, over population, and poverty diminish as religiosity is removed.

  3. "Oppose – It is unjust of Yahwe, Allah and Christ, to deprive millions born before the revelation of the Ten Commandments, the Q'uran, and the New Testament of His 'divine wisdom'. An injustice which cannot be the work of a Just, Compassionate and Merciful God. "

If you actually had some knowledge you would know that people before Moses were guided too.

    - – -

"Oppose – Incest which results in mental and physical infirmities, is an immoral action and it had to be the same also in the beginning (creation of one man and one woman). "

If God did make two people . . . it is reasonable to assume – he had and could make others.

    - – -

"Oppose – Modern science has proven creation to be more than 6,000 years old, the earth is spherical and it rotates and revolves, contradictions to the Torah, Bible and Q'uran. "

How so . . . Quran doesn't label the earth anything – flat or spherical, neither has it claimed humanity to be 6,000 years old.

Explanation by Sri Sri Ravishankar in Hindi

  5. Shiva is Purusha(Same of Purush Sutra of your Yajur Veda), the energy component of spirit. Qalbi or Godly part in Body(may be found in Hridya CHakra near heart). Parvati is Prakriti, the matter/the nature, the Nafsi(near naval, so do Sunnis keep, their hand on naval during Salat, it is symbol).

There is some cosmic sound, making quark, vibration making energy turn into matter. From Al Batin/Parabrahm to Al Jahir/Brahm. To break the bondage by matter, a sound by matter is made(from body dust of Parvati, a toy of clay). As being made only from matter, sound had some factors which made it, in disharmony with energy. So energy altered its composition(War with Shiva and change of head). Elephant was used in past as first to attack the enemies in battlefield. So to pave the way of rest of the army. So head of the elephant is used as symbol for the lord of Agents of salvation by Shiva/The merciful/ Al Karim.

You will find my saying absurd. you will put some counter questions. It will be like lying on the floor and discussing about the steps, we should take while swimming.

Better go to Rishikesh and meet Swami Chidananda of Paramarth Niketan or Sri Sri Ravi Sankar of Art of living. Spiritual things can not be written or explained but could be experienced. Swami Vivekanand experienced. So far from the writing of your swami Ji or that of Mr VJsingh. I could not make out, if he too was JivatMukt or salvaged while being alive.

  6. And what about the story in which Ganesha neck was cut by lord Shiva and Shiva pasted elephant neck in place of original human neck. Ganesha creation from the hand dust of Parvati. Are these story false like breaking moon by prophet.

  7. Ok, in Hindi and Sanskrit, we have Abhida, Lakshna and Vyanjana. Puranic text has Vyanjana used a lot. We can not understand the verbal meanings but after getting a great upliftment of soul by meditation we could understand the deeper meaning hidden in them.

Example, How can Elephant faced God Ganesha rides a mouse. Ganesha is a symbol of overcoming of hurdles. Mouse is a symbol of rodent, which keeps on using its teeth, destroy the hurdles by gowning. Hurdles are bondage of worldly materialistic things coming in the way of Sadhak(Literary means who aims to a target) for getting Moksha/Libration/Khlasi. Instead of paradise full of worldly things, Sufis too strive for Wahadat(unity with the God).

It really pains me when I see Sikhs, perhaps Muslims and Christians, making fun of Puranas. It is heart burning when Vedic guys also copy them. Vedas also have implied meaning, which can not be understood by person using 5sense. 6th Sense needs to be used.

If our inner self is filled with filth of ego , hatred etc, these things will not let us go near the God. I agree that i am still full of all this filthy things. I want to kill the Malechh within me. I am sorry to you that i lost my cool, when saw something anti Puranic by Vedic people.

  8. @Vijay
____________Only point here is that if guys , condemn Puranas for Vedas, You are the enemies of Sanatan Dharma___________
I could not understand your point?

  9. The way Adem being first human be false, so could be the Veda's being first books. Only point here is that if guys , condemn Puranas for Vedas, You are the enemies of Sanatan Dharma, the way anyother filthy Malechha is, as per Hinduism.

  11. Five Tests religion

It (revelation) must exist in its entirety from the very beginning of creation for all of mankind, and not over a long period of time after.
Oppose – It is unjust of Yahwe, Allah and Christ, to deprive millions born before the revelation of the Ten Commandments, the Q'uran, and the New Testament of His 'divine wisdom'. An injustice which cannot be the work of a Just, Compassionate and Merciful God.
It must conform with (immutable) natural laws Oppose – The cause of the physical body is the reproductive element – any other method as man was created from dust or blood-clot and all other miracles of God and Prophets are a breach to this law.
It must be in harmony with reasoning.
Oppose – Incest which results in mental and physical infirmities, is an immoral action and it had to be the same also in the beginning (creation of one man and one woman).
It must be in harmony with science.
Oppose – Modern science has proven creation to be more than 6,000 years old, the earth is spherical and it rotates and revolves, contradictions to the Torah, Bible and Q'uran.
Its truth must be confirmed by four evidences :-

Direct Cognition – Not all that is known by perception can be true.
Inferences – God is eternal therefore we can infer that there were past creations and as well as there will be future ones.
Testimony – The testimonies of Rishis, sages and seers of the Vedas (altruistic teachers are all in harmony with each other.
History – There are many books (Mahabharata, Valmiki's Ramayan) and source of other civilization which speak of the past ancient Vedic (Aryan) civilization of 5,000 years ago and earlier. http://pub36.bravenet.com/forum/static/show.php?u

  12. In studying the systems of philosophy, it is necessary that the mind adopt a discipline of impartiality and sobriety. It must then be raised to an exalted mental condition through the process of reasoning. This intellectual function is required for the comprehension of recondite and invisible truths of matter and nature.

The argument that Christian values are the final verdict in the progress of modern civilization is not true. Proper organization is the answer and not religion.

"The advance of western civilization has been partly a story of gradual victory over oppressive religion, and these brilliant doubters were men and women who didn't pray, didn't kneel before altars, didn't make pilgrimages, didn't recite creeds." James A. Haught – "2000 years of Disbelief."

The atheists are right not to believe in an anthropomorphic God who circumvents the laws of nature. Otherwise then for all practical purposes, it will be right for a magician to qualify as God.

The atheist's conception of the universe's creation is 'The big bang theory,' that a giant explosion that caused the formation of all the luminous bodies in the universe. But Atheists really cannot explain the habitation of this one planet, earth, and its operation within law, order, design and purpose.

If man gradually evolved from a very primitive animal life form, where did that life form have its origin? Man has an intellect but how it came about is unknown. It is absolutely impossible that such order and design of earth and life forms could have occurred by chance or by an accident.
"The theory of natural selection is indicative of nature's imperfections. According to it Nature is still improving. This theory points out the absence in Nature at present of the best forms that it will produce in the future. We, on the other hand, believe in the pre-existence of all things in Nature, and in their later manifestation, not as an originality, but as a manifestation of a pre-existing substance, lying latent in its bosom. Our doctrine is, that out of nothing, nothing can come. Therefore, whatever comes into existence, must have had a pre-existence in Nature.

We have thus little respect for a theory such as Darwin which propounds that human species are a development of an inferior animal nature. For, if we were to accept this, we would be at a loss to trace the origin of human language and the possession of Divine knowledge, which are peculiar to mankind only, and which are not self-acquired, but can only be learnt from others. http://www.vjsingh.info/atheism.html

  13. "Just as color cannot be perceived by ears, nor sound by eyes; in like manner, the Eternal Supreme Spirit is not perceptible to the senses. He can only be seen by a pure soul through the purity of heart, acquisition of knowledge and the practice of yoga. Just as one cannot reap the advantages of knowledge without acquiring it, likewise the Supreme Spirit cannot be seen without the practice of yoga and gaining the highest knowledge." The Light of Truth

"The soul that denies the existence of the Supreme Being or believes Him to be limited to some particular time or place, or conducts itself against the will, nature, character and attributes of God or bears malice to another, becomes subject to fear." Introductory to revelation

Misguided religion has led to fanaticism and superstition. Predetermination takes the place of honest inquiry and truth is suppressed. This form of credulity is the catalyst of existing adverse and prejudicial conditions that plague our creation. Is there a remedy? All the fallacies of human reason must be exhausted, before the light of higher truth could meet with ready response. It would be the first step in the right direction which leads to atheism.

In studying the systems of philosophy, it is necessary that the mind adopt a discipline of impartiality and sobriety. It must then be raised to an exalted mental condition through the process of reasoning. This intellectual function is required for the comprehension of recondite and invisible truths of matter and nature.

The theory of evolution has also failed in many other ways. If man evolved from monkeys it has to be a natural law which the atheists believe to be immutable. So why has this process of evolution come to a dead stop? The world population for thousands of years past should have consisted of those from human births and those who evolved. Yet why no remains?

Furthermore, the question of learning must be considered. Past, present and future educational institutions were, are and will be indicative of a process whereby, man, must be taught. http://www.vjsingh.info/atheism.html

  14. My own thoughts lead me astray. Is it the infallability of things which have been said to me or because I read them on internet. Who's correct? Who's not. I'm a born Hindu. I find texts at agniveer too confusing as if vedas are a rocket science. Islam…. don't even talk about it . That's gibberish… Christianity…. What did I do some 2000 years ago or before because of which I'm a sinner. I wasn't even born then. I won't exaggerate here claiming to be a humanist or sort but If all humans were able to lend space to one another and not impose their faiths and beliefs onto others, maybe, the world would be a better place

  15. religion of human kind is to accept truth rejecting falsehood using the parametera of science logic n rationality…

  16. I think the best way of life is RATIONAL HUMANISM

You dont have to follow anything blindly NOR u have to accept that which is irrational. Also being a humanist makes you better. While all other lead to terrorism, this is only salvation to mankind.

Dr. Ali Sina Sir — what do you think… ???

  17. ISLAM=Stupid, Lazy, Rubbish, Problem, Lie,  Barbarian, Dirty, Ugly, Noisy, Crazy, Oppress, Violent, Behead, Horror, War, Boom, Politic, Womanizing, Pedophilia, Polygamy, Fanatic, Evil, Terrorist

  18. The Quran is same for all muslim cultures, and the life Mohammad the one who 'delivered' the Quran can be known only through the SIra. Since all muslims must read one of these two books to become muslims Dr Sina's logic stands for muslims from all backgrounds.

  19. A very pretty Atheist

    To John K
There’s no such thing as ‘Western Concept’ of Logic, Knowledge and Humanism. It is Universal!!!

And yes, Ali Sina is doing a great job! He’s an eye-opener!

  20. [...] to suggest a better way than Islam.  I have answered this question in a separate article titled, Which Religion Is Good?  In that article I quote Krishnamurthi who said, “Truth is a pathless land’. Man cannot come to [...]

  21. Dr. Sina's scholarship is top notch.

His explanations use Muslim foundational documents, the Quran, Ahadith and Sira.

Shia Islam as a formative factor on his personal ideas is far in his past. His personal ideas are founded on Western concepts of logic, science, humanism, and academic knowledge based on high standards such as are unknown in the Muslim world.

  22. ali sina is shia back ground, they are misled people.this people are already misled his belive.that is why ali sina confuse about the belive in god.

  23. According to Blaise Pascal (in article http://alisina.org/what-if-god-exists/) we should believe in God. Because if we now believe that there is no God, but after death suddenly found that there is really a God, then no scope to rectify, straight looser. But If we believe in God in this life, then we will be in safe side whether there is God exists or not. So what we have to do is to find out the only true / loving God among the Gods in various religions.

If Dr. Ali Sina was honest, suppose one of my friends called me, Maruf come out of your home, right then I will asked him where I will live at night? If he could not provide me another home than he has no right to call me come out? My friend should first manage another better home for me if he wants me to leave my current home. But Mr. Sina is not doing that he should have at first come up with a truer / lovelier God comparing to Muslim God before asking Muslims to denounce their faith. But without giving a solution he is offering a problem. This proves that Mr. Ali Sina has something hidden in his mind.

He also suggests that to live ethically this will be enough for you. I am also agree with him in this regard.

But who will decide the ethics meaning which is bad or which is right?

Somebody tells, looking to a woman is bad, somebody tells looking is ok but touching is bad, somebody tells shaking and kissing is ok but adultery is bad, somebody tells everything is ok if both agree. Somebody tells Gay is very bad, some tells no it is their right. Some tells to be vegetarian is right , some tells no everything which is permitted can be eaten . Some tells bikini is perfect because it reveals the whole beauty, some tells no- woman should be modestly covered. Doctors say alcohol is harmful but it is permitted in many countries. Some says gambling is bad because it looses man financially, socially but many countries has permitted it. Some says interest is not bad for economy although it can’t resist recession, others tell that Islamic banking is less affected by the recession. A robber says robbery is good because he can earn much money with less effort and enjoy a luxurious life but the victim will say it is crime.

For these reasons laws of every country differs each other and there is a continuous clash between pro and con.

So the question is that who will define the good or bad or set limit. It is obviously the God, the Creator. Otherwise every right or wrong i.e. ethics becomes meaningless. So Gods presence/guidance is essential.

So what is Dr. Sina doing, he is trying to make Muslims ex, without suggesting a more true God/religion for them. He wants to bring them out of home to under the sun, rain, storm, danger. It is inhuman. He is utilizing his brilliancy, literacy for misleading people, for the evil of the society.

  24. You is 100 % right. Without God there would be no time, space n matter. Aaa-men.

  25. "Jehovah, the god of the Torah, who's name's not mentioned in the NT commands every atrocity imaginable."

Such sweeping generalizations are patently false. Also, in the King James Bible, Jehovah is rendered as Lord and Elohim is rendered as God.

"Jehovah was Muhammad's inspiration for creating Allah."

Muhammad's inspiration for Allah was the pagan moon god. Muhammad took advantage of the ambiguity of the Arab Christians and Jews using the Arabic cognate, Allah, for Elohim in hopes of gaining converts from pagans, Christians and Jews.

  26. My dear rationalist, atheist hero, Dr Ali Sina, I'm still waiting patiently for you to answer my this super simple question: "Does Spirit Exist?" so as to help you come to terms with the ultimate truth that God exist. Do you dare to know this undeniable truth?

  27. I believe what you are saying is called pantheism.

  28. Until recently I always defended the Jewish faith until I came across the original bible (ie.the one compiled before the New Testament) known as the Gospel of the Lord, which portrays Christ & the apostles as being the antithesis of the Torah & its prophets. As opposed to the the New Testament which portrays Christ as a preserver & reformer of Judaism.
Unfortunately the Church committed many atrocities in 1500 years & often cited passages from the OT (Torah) as justification.
Jehovah, the god of the Torah, who's name's not mentioned in the NT commands every atrocity imaginable.Jehovah was Muhammad's inspiration for creating Allah.
I do believe it's imperative that humanity rid itself of all evil ideologies if we are going to fight terror.
The Good News is that Christianity is currently undergoing another spiritual reformation in the form of Marcionite Christianty, which is nearly 1900 years old.

  29. All cult leaders are sex perverts.

  30. Just like John de Ruiter, in India, one called Swamy Nityananda(original name is Rajasekaran) aged 33 years now established his cult six or seven years ago and became very famous as a spiritual guru. He had even built his headquarters in Bangalore city and expanded his ashrams in many countries, amassed huge wealth through donations from his thousands of followers. He used to appear on televisions regularly for giving sermons on Hindu philosophies.

Alas, last year, video recording(made by one of his prime deciples) showing him in a compromising positions with a local cinema actress was widely broadcast in televisions especially on Sun TV and he absconded, was arrested after about 2 months in a village in the northern state of Himachal Pradesh and put behind the bar. The police enquiry revealed that he was a sex pervert and had sexual relations with so many female deciples mostly by intimidation and even had entered into agreement with them for sex under the pretext of practicing tantric yoga. Now he is facing many criminal charges in the High Court of Karnataka State.
