In other word you are talking about a law which is in complete agreement with how it is seen in most Middle East country. Egypt and Indonesia are two notable exceptions. In most Middle East countries the rape charge is automatically dropped if the man marries the woman. What more, in Islamic countries marital rape isn't even recognized as a crime.

There is no religion equal to Vedic religion that strictly advised to follow monogamy.

Three mantras of Rig Veda, 1.124.7, 4.3.2 and 10.71.4 contain “Jaayeva Patya Ushatee Suvaasaah”. This means that knowledge comes to the scholar in same manner as a dedicated joyous wife comes only to her husband. “Jaaya” means wife and “Pati” means husband. Both appearing in singular implies that only one husband-one wife relation is considered ideal.
3. Rigveda 1.3.3 states that God is like a dedicated wife with high character and purity. This also implies that monogamy alone is considered ideal.
4. Rigveda 10.149.4 compares love between God and devotee like that between dedicated wife and husband. Both “Jaaya” meaning wife and “Patim” meaning husband are used in singular number implying strict monogamy.
5. Rigveda 10.85.20 appeals a bride to expand happiness for her husband. Again both husband and wife are referred in singular.
6. Rigveda 10.85.23 appeals to wife and husband to always have self-control. Its obvious from reference to self-control and singular numbers for both wife and husband that monogamy alone is recommended.
7. All mantras relating to marriage are addressed in dual number to a couple of husband-wife implying one wife for husband and one husband for wife. Some examples are Rig Veda 10.85.24, 10.85.42, 10.85.47 and almost entire 14th Chapter of Atharva Veda which deals with subject of marriage. Most mantras pray for faithful relation for entire life-time.
Please note that Sanskrit has a dual number apart from singular and plural, specifically to remove this confusion that people may have.
8. In Atharva Veda 7.35.4 both husband and wife state that, “You establish me in your heart so that our minds become one and same.”
9. In Atharva Veda 7.38.4, wife says that “You should only be mine. You should not even discuss about other women.” What can be a more clear prohibition of polygamy than this!
10. Atharva Ved 3.30.2 and 14.2.64 also appeal husband and wife to be devoted and faithful to each other.
11. Perhaps Veda provider Ishwar knew that despite all this, some self-proclaimed experts may still find reasons to justify polygamy. Thus certain mantras in Vedas describe demerits of Polygamy.
– Rig Veda 10.105.8 compares existence of multiple wives with multiple worldly miseries.
– Rig Veda 10.101.11 states that a man with two wives is pressed from both sides and weeps like a horse that neighs when pressed from both sides by spokes while driving a chariot.
– Rig Veda 10.101.11 state that two wives make life aimless.

There is no caste system in Veda on the contrary
The concept of caste is relatively new. Vedas contain no word that can be considered a synonym for ‘caste’. The two words commonly considered to mean ‘caste’ are Jaati and Varna. However the truth is that, all the three mean completely different things.
Caste is a European innovation having no semblance in Vedic culture.

Jaati
Jaati means a classification based on source of origin. Nyaya Sutra states “Samaanaprasavaatmika Jaatih” or those having similar birth source form a Jaati.
An initial broad classification made by Rishis is 4-fold: Udbhija (coming out of ground like plants), Andaja (coming out of eggs like birds and reptiles), Pindaja (mammals) and Ushmaj (reproducing due to temperature and ambient conditions like virus, bacteria etc).
Similarly, various animals like elephant, lion, rabbits etc form different ‘Jaati’. In same manner, entire humanity forms one ‘Jaati’. A particular Jaati will have similar physical characteristics, cannot change from one Jaati to another and cannot cross-breed. Thus Jaati is creation of Ishwar or God.
Brahmin, Kshatriya, Vaishya and Shudra are no way different Jaati because there is no difference in source of birth or even physical characteristics to differentiate between them.
Later, word ‘Jaati’ started being used to imply any kind of classification. Thus in common usage, we call even different communities as different ‘Jaati’. However that is merely convenience of usage. In reality, all humans form one single Jaati.
Varna
The actual word used for Brahmin, Kshatriya, Vaishya and Shudra is ‘Varna’ and not Jaati.
The word ‘Varna’ is used not only for these four, but also for Dasyu and Arya.
‘Varna’ means one that is adopted by choice. Thus, while Jaati is provided by God, ‘Varna’ is our own choice.
Those who choose to be Arya are called ‘Arya Varna’. Those who choose to be Dasyu become ‘Dasyu Varna’. Same for Brahmin, Kshatriya, Vaishya and Shudra.
That is why Vedic Dharma is called ‘Varnashram Dharma’. The word Varna itself implies that this is based on complete freedom of choice and meritocracy.

Those involved in intellectual activities have chosen ‘Brahmin Varna’. Those into defense and warfare are ‘Kshatriya Varna’. Those in economics and animal rearing are ‘Vaishya Varna’ and those involved in other support functions are “Shudra Varna”. They refer merely to various choices of professions and have nothing to do with any Jaati or birth.

Often mantras of Purush Sukta are cited to prove that Brahmins originated from Mouth, Kshatriya from hands, Vaishya from thighs and Shudras from legs of God. Thus these varnas are birth-based. However nothing could be more deceptive. Let us see why:
a. Vedas describe God to be shapeless and unchangeable. How can such a God take shape of a gigantic person if He is shapeless. Refer Yajurved 40.8.
b. If indeed this were true, this would defy the theory of Karma of Vedas. Because as per Theory of Karma, one’s family of birth can change as per his or her deeds. So one born in Shudra family can take birth as king’s son in next birth. But if Shudras are born from feet of God, how can same Shudra again take birth from hands of God?
. Soul is timeless and never born. So soul can have no Varna. It is only when it takes birth as human that it has a chance to opt a Varna. Then what is meant by a Varna coming from one part of God’s body? If Soul did not take birth from God’s body, then does it mean body of soul is prepared from God’s body parts? But as per Vedas, even nature is eternal. And same atoms recycle among various humans. So it is technically impossible for any one taking birth from God’s body, even if we assume God to be having a body.

Firstly I take Purush Sukt of Veda
बराह्मणो.अस्य मुखमासीद बाहू राजन्यः कर्तः |

The above hymn of the Purush Sukta relating to Purusha(supreme reality) is entirely an imaginative piece of writing and it is not to be literally translated to mean that the Brahmin originated from the mouth of the Purusha(all pervasive Supreme Entity and obviously implying here formless), the Kshatriyas from the arms, the Vaishyas from the abdomen and the Shudras from the feet. The unique characteristic of Vedic language(different from classical Sanskrit) is that it is highly metaphorical and symbolic and capable of multiple interpretation. However, for a proper understanding of the sense of the Vedas, we have to bear in mind the established standpoint of etymologists like Yaska that all the Vedic words are derived from verbal roots and their meanings are based on their derivation from verbal roots. Purusha Sukta is an analogy between four limbs of the body(head, arms, thighs & feet identified symbolically with society) and the four varnas, i.e., Brahmin, Kshatriya, Vaishya and Shudra who as providers of knowledge, protection, wealth and service are respectively required to eliminate ignorance, injustice, inadequacy and indolence, the four social ills of the society and serve mankind as per their functional values and natural propensities. Dr.Dilip Vedalankar writes in his book ‘Vedic Humanism’(pub.by Vijay Kumar Govind Ram Hasanand, Delhi) “The Rigveda uses the metaphor of “person like society”. The organic view of society was explained by comparing the Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas and Shudras with the head, the hands, the legs and feet respectively. The health of the body society required the health of all the organs. Conversely the pain in one limb was the pain of the social body which represented the life spirit of the oganism.” Thus, through mutual cooperation and co-existence, the aim of Vedic social stratification (based on worth and not birth) is to make the entire society happy, complete and perfect. Dr.S.P.Singh in ‘VEDIC SYMBOLISM’ points out “This classification of society is not to be taken as epoch specific, as it is generally misunderstood. Since the seers canvass of thinking in this hymn(Purusha Sukta) is cosmic, his ideas can by no means be confined to any specific period of human history and that also as applicable to a specific group of people of that age.”

Confusion between Varna and Jati – Impact on Recommendations of Mandal Commission Report – Job Reservation

Some scholars as well as the authors of the Report of the Backward Classes Commission(Mandal Commission Report)of the Govt.of India, treat the above hymn of the Purusha Sukta as the source of Janmana jati vyavastha(hereditory caste system). Linking the allegorical Sukta to watertight hereditory caste system is baseless and absurd. As a part of intellectual subversion, a section of western scholars and in particular their Indian camp followers have confused the two words of Sanskrit literature, i.e., varna and jati as same which has led to several misconceptions about the Indian social system. Both Varna and Jati are at poles asunder while the former is spiritual, based on worth of a person and pre-vedic, the later is purely social, a post-vedic concept based on birth.

Maharishi Manu proclaims flexibility of Varnas and their growth

Vedas proclaim that all human beings should move forward in unison and there cannot be any distinction on the basis of birth. Atharva Veda says “All the four Varnas should live in harmony and with love” Priyam ma krnu devesu priyam rajasu ma krnu, priyam sarvasya pasyata uta sudra utarye.(Atharva Veda 19-62-1). As per true Vedic concept, the duty of each Varna is to serve the society and every individual irrespective of his varna has to discover his soul (self-realization). Soceity will not obstruct the growth and progress of even Shudra to awaken his soul. That is why Manusmriti ( WITHOUT INTERPOLATIONS) says:

“Shudro brahmanatameti brahmanashchaiti shudratam.

Kshatriyanjalamevamtu vidyadvaishyattathaiva cha.”(Manusmriti 10/65)

i.e. a Shudra can become a brahmin by acquiring learning, merit, virtuous life, etc.and a brahmin lacking in above traits becomes a Shudra. The above principle of merit, action and personality traits (Guna-karma-Swabhava) also holds good for Kshatriya and Vaishya for their upward or downward mobility.

This mantra strikes a death blow to all those so-called Brahmacharis who sweat at the mere mention of women in Paradise, fearing that this will violate their Dharma. Vedas reject such apprehensions. There will not be just one, but numerous women to fulfill the desire of sex. In this mantra, the word Strenam (सत्रैणम) is used which means 'a collection of women'. This is the meaning given by the ancient Indian Grammarian Panini in his book Ashtadhyayi – Adhyay 4; Paad 1; Sootr 87. Lest any Arya Samji tries to do some word gymnastics as they are so renowned for, we have given this source. Also the word Shishan (शिशन) used in this mantra only means 'phallus' according to Nirukt 4:19.

These beautiful women which the people of Vedic Paradise will receive, are called as Apsaras in Vedic terminology. At many places in the Vedas, prayers are made to get these Apsaras. For example, see Atharvaved 2:2:5 that I have already quoted. Vedas also list many types of Apsaras. Six types of Apsaras are spoken of in Rigveda 10:95:6 and Atharvaved 8:10:27,28 and the details about them can be found in many references of the Upanishads. A some places they are called as the Lovers of Devatas. For example in Atharvaved 6:118:3 it is said
"My creditor, the man whose wife I visit, he, Gods! whom I approach with supplication, Let not these men dominate me in speaking. Mind this, you Apsaras, Gods' Consorts!
The authentic Upanishads also mention about numerous women being given in Paradise. Chandogya Upanishad 8:12:3 says
"Thus does that serene being, arising from this body, appear in its own form, as soon as it has approached the highest light. He is the highest person (uttama purusha). He moves about there laughing, playing, and rejoicing, be it with women, carriages, or relatives, never minding that body into which he was born."
Here also we find a subtle similarity with Rigveda's three forms of enjoyment. Some will laugh with women, some with play with women and others will rejoice (?) with them. This perfectly explains what Mod (मोद), Mud (मुद) and Pramud (प्रमुद) denote. In this Upanishad the ultimate enjoyment is called Rammanah (रममाणः). This word is derived from Ramah which means that pleasure which is generated by the affinity between a man and woman. NIrukt, speaking about this word says that Ramah is a woman only for enjoyment and not for any sacred purpose (Nirukt 12:13).

Katha Upanishad narrates a dialogue between Yama and Nachiketas, the son of Vahasrava. Yama offers Nachiketas three boons. The first two boons are granted by Yama, the third however disturbs Yama, so Yama tries to bargain. Yama says,

"Whatsoever objects of desire are difficult to obtain in the realm of mortals, ask them all as thou desire; these lovely maidens with their chariots and musical instruments, such as are not obtainable by mortals–be served by these whom I give to thee. O Nachiketas, do not ask regarding death."

What is most ridiculous about birth-based caste system is that it is based on unverifiable word of mouth. There is no way to decipher if Brahmins of today are actually children of Brahmins of yesteryears. Regardless of whatsoever Gotra or Rishi name one may utter, there is no way to test the veracity of the claim.

What if I say that Brahmins (birth-based) of today are actually worse than Shudras because they were born of Chandals some 1000 years ago? How can one refute the claim? If you cite that this Brahmin family is of Bharadwaj gotra, I would ask for DNA testing to verify the claim. In absence of it, any claim to superior caste remains merely an empty tall claim.
Who is Kshatriya?
Parshuram is alleged to have wiped off all Kshatriyas several times. So obviously Kshatriyas of today are anything but Kshatriyas by birth!
If one tracks the genealogy of Rajputs, they are supposed to belong to one of the following lineages – Suryavanshi from Sun, Chandravanshi from Moon and Agnikula from fire. Obviously no one actually came from sun or moon on earth! Also Agnikula is a recent origin. Legend says that Agnikula Rajputs sprang from fire when Parashuram wiped off entire Kshatriya or Rajput clan from earth. On many Rajput clans, there is still confusion on whether it is Suryavanshi, Chandravanshi or Agnikula.
Obviously these recent legends – not to be find in any ancient texts – mean that various people who took up the profession of valour/ military became recognized as Rajputs from time to time.
Upper-castes may be Chandals
So if some so-called upper castes can claim some other humans to be lower-caste, even I can assert that these lower-castes are the real Brahmins, Kshatriyas and Vaishyas. And the upper-castes are actually children of Chandals who usurped power centuries ago and deleted historical records. The recorded history mixed with miraculous stories of origin of certain castes and tribes would only support this assertion.
Now if that sounds insulting, even calling any human being as lower-caste is equally offensive, if not more.
Who are Mlechhas among us?
From evident records of history one knows that Greeks, Huns, Sakas, Mongols etc have been assimilating in Indian society in positions of power. Many of them even had rules over certain parts of India for significant periods and today it is impossible to decipher who among us is a Greek, Hun, Mongol etc. This goes well with the Vedic concept of ‘one humanity-one race’ but blows the very foundations of birth-based caste system. Because for them, these Mlecchas are even worse than the 4 castes!
In search of technique for caste determination
Thus forget about caste-system being supported or denied by Vedas. Even that is secondary. What is more important is that there is no way for any of us to determine who among us is actually a high caste and a low caste by genealogy since inception of Vedas. Apart from hollow self-proclaimed assertions, there is nothing more concrete to take anyone’s caste seriously!
So if Vedas were to justify birth-based caste system, they should also have specified a reliable technique to decide someone’s caste. In absence of that technique, the whole concept of birth-based caste system falls flat.
So at best one can say that caste system may have been relevant during inception of Vedas, but has no meaning whatsoever today!
Our stand by the way (based purely on Vedas and logic), is that caste system was never relevant and in fact a distortion of Vedic ideology. And this has been the most expensive distortion for our society that snatched away our entire dignity, strength and future!

And lest you forget there is also a kharaj, a property tax which was initially conceived to be taken from the non-muslim land owners.
At various points of time in history and at different places it has been between 20% and 40%. The main point of jizya and kharaj was to persuade/force the non-believers to convert by economic means, the sugar-coating as 'poll tax' not withstanding!!

While there is a concept of Nisab for zakat, there is no such provision for jizya. Also while a refusal to pay zakat doesn't have a specific punishment mentioned, a failure to pay Jizya means you have broken the Dhimmi contract and laible to lose property or life (often both).

I completely agree with @I-HATE-ISLAM that its the state's duty to provide protection to ALL irrespective of their beliefs. Similarly non-muslims are already branded unpatriotic if they are debarred from military service!!

Did you ask your mother as I asked you to? Sugar is not a mandatory ingredient. Most outside India drink sugar-free and milk-free tea. Many in India drink water-free tea (only milk), I used to when I was in India. Any recipe not including tea-leaf is incomplete. 3. If I take your word as a fact, it further proves that Allah hasn't clearly stated if all of us came from Adam or only some and the rest from some other First Fathers.
4. Also where does it leave the converts to Islam. Say the Malay ones. In the event that they are not from Adam, 17:70 implies that they won't get At-Taiyibaat. What then will be the incentive for them to convert, since conversion alone can't add them to the same genetic stock that came from this fictitious Adam :-).

There is a vast difference between believing and learning. Islam has fully allowed Muslims to learn scientific education but not to believe in the matters that contradict with established Islamic beliefs. Because, the science is ever-growing and ever-changing. For example, the scientific facts of Newton in 17th century known as 'Gravitation Laws' were so widely believed that those who denied were called as insane. But, later in 20th century Einstein came and the entire theory of Newton turned up side down. So, as a Muslim, one should think whether one is going to change one's beliefs which are told by All-Knowing Allah to the notions that have no concrete ground.

Nicolai Sennels is a Danish psychologist who has done extensive research into a little-known problem in the Muslim world: the disastrous results of Muslim inbreeding brought about by the marriage of first-cousins.

Sex is a divine gift. Its foremost function amongst living creature

damage. It will also destroy the very fabric of all values in society. It
will cast the seeds of suspicion within one’s marital life. Such suspicion

family relations – it will even gravely affect the mental health of future
generations.
Islam has never envisioned such a society. Islam has striven for
the creation of a society wherein a peaceful family environment and
marital relationship prevails.
To that end, Islam considers that all sexual relations outside of
wedlock are to be prohibited. For that reason the Qur'an recommends
strict penal laws which serve to eliminate such sexual relations.
Conceding the fact that the sexual impulse is, indeed, one of the most
powerful of instincts, it is necessary, nevertheless, to check man, in
the exercise of that impulse, with equally compelling measures. Indeed,
herein lies the great relevance of the punishments in the Qur'an.

Five: Men and women (excepting for the husband or any relative
with whom marriage has been prohibited ) are not to travel together.
Six :Men and women are not to converse freely except in the

Seven: Unless they have become mates through the institution
of marriage, men and women are not to gaze at each other with lewed
passion.
Eight : They are not to speak, or flirt, in a manner that evokes lust.
Nine : If a man comes with the offer of marriage, the guardians
of the woman must come forward to offer her in marriage to him if he
is seen to be of a suitable person.
Ten : In the case of the men who cannot find contentment in a
single woman, there is also the provisions – albeit, a conditional one –
to marry more than one woman.

In this short article we will see how and why Temporary Marriage was first allowed in Islam, but then later was forbidden by our Prophet peace be upon him:

"Rabi' b. Sabra reported that his father went on an expedition with Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) during the Victory of Mecca, and we stayed there for fifteen days (i. e. for thirteen full days and a day and a night), and Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) permitted us to contract temporary marriage with women. So I and another person of my tribe went out, and I was more handsome than he, whereas he was almost ugly. Each one of us had a cloaks, My cloak was worn out, whereas the cloak of my cousin was quite new. As we reached the lower or the upper side of Mecca, we came across a young woman like a young smart long-necked she-camel. We said: Is it possible that one of us may contract temporary marriage with you? She said: What will you give me as a dower? Each one of us spread his cloak. She began to cast a glance on both the persons. My companion also looked at her when she was casting a glance at her side and he said: This cloak of his is worn out, whereas my cloak is quite new. She, however, said twice or thrice: There is no harm in (accepting) this cloak (the old one). So I contracted temporary marriage with her, and I did not come out (of this) until Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) declared it forbidden. (Translation of Sahih Muslim, Book 8, Number 3253)"

Narrated 'Ali: "I said to Ibn 'Abbas, 'During the battle of Khaibar the Prophet forbade (Nikah) Al-Mut'a [Temporary Marriage in English] and the eating of donkey's meat.' (Translation of Sahih Bukhari, Wedlock, Marriage (Nikaah), Volume 7, Book 62, Number 50)"

Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah and Salama bin Al-Akwa': "While we were in an army, Allah's Apostle came to us and said, "You have been allowed to do the Mut'a (marriage), so do it." Salama bin Al-Akwa' said: Allah's Apostle's said, "If a man and a woman agree (to marry temporarily), their marriage should last for three nights, and if they like to continue, they can do so; and if they want to separate, they can do so." I do not know whether that was only for us or for all the people in general. Abu Abdullah (Al-Bukhari) said: 'Ali made it clear that the Prophet said, "The Mut'a marriage has been cancelled (made unlawful)." (Translation of Sahih Bukhari, Wedlock, Marriage (Nikaah), Volume 7, Book 62, Number 52)"

Narrated Saburah ibn Ma'bad al-Juhani: "The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) prohibited temporary marriage with women. (Translation of Sunan Abu-Dawud, Marriage (Kitab Al-Nikah), Book 11, Number 2068)"

The reason why temporary marriage was allowed is to prevent illegal sex, prostitution and rape especially during the early times of Islam when Muslims didn't have residence stability and were facing all kinds of difficulties from the pagans. The Muslim men used to also travel for long months away from their families to meet the enemy in the battle field. Some of the towns they used to go to had Muslim women in them, and like I said, to prevent adultery and fornication with any woman (Muslim or non-Muslim), and to prevent rape, the Prophet peace be upon him allowed temporary marriage contracts between Muslim men and women.

When the Muslim state became stable during our Prophet's time, he then forbade that act because Muslims then could get married and have stable lives with their families and raise Children in a stable and convenient community.
