Pamela Geller is a brave woman at the forefront of our fight against the encroachment of Islam on western civilization. She is the person who raised the attention of the Americans about the Islamic ploy to build a victory mosque only a block away from the ground zero where the WTC twin towers stood and stopped that project. Pamela is also the one who saved Rifqa Bari, the young American Pakistani girl who converted to Christianity and was threatened by her parents that if she does not revert she would be killed.
Among other thing Pamela has also founded the www.leaveislamsafely.com. Periodically people from all over the world write to her enquiring how they can leave Islam without losing their lives. Stay safe
My first and foremost advice to anyone wanting to leave Islam is to stay safe. We don’t want you to be a hero and our cause does not require martyrs. We need you to stay alive and we want to see you live a long, happy, free and productive life.
If you live in an Islamic country, we cannot provide any safety for you. Assuming there were people who could help you there we would not be able to introduce them to you as this would put their lives at risk. So you are on your own. You have to take care of your safety. What we can do is give you some commonsense tips and suggestions.
Don’t reveal your thoughts to anyone, including your family and your best friends. I receive numerous emails from new apostates who say they thought it is safe to talk to their non-practicing sibling or friends. They were shocked when these people turned against them. Muslims don’t’ care whether you practice Islam or not. But they do care that you stay a Muslim, even if it is by name. The least practicing Muslim can turn violent if you tell him you no longer believe in Islam.
What to do now?
One of the most frequently questions asked, when someone decides to leave Islam is, what they should do now. The answer is nothing. You don’t have to do anything to leave Islam. Islam is a belief. Once you stop believing you are no longer a Muslim. There are no rituals to perform and no membership cards to sign. The bondage of Islam is mental. Once you break that bondage you are free.
I know we humans need symbolism and rituals. This is a psychological need. A friend of mine who left Islam went to a church and baptized. He also changed his name from Hussein to Cyrus. I asked whether he is a Christian. He said no, but that he needed to do this little ceremony to make it official, at least in his own mind, that he is not a Muslim anymore. I did not need any ceremony to prove to myself that I am not a Muslim. I did not change my so called Islamic name. The fact is that Ali is not an Islamic name at all. Abu Talib who named his son Ali, was not a Muslim and he never accepted Islam. Another person named Ali was the son of Ummayh ibn Khalaf, who was killed by Bilal, his father’s ex- slaver, along with his father, treacherously.
If you really need a ceremony, recite to yourself, I testify that Allah is no God and Muhammad was a mentally sick man. That should do.
When you leave Islam you don’t pay the zakat. Zakat finances Islamic jihad. This so called charity is never used for charity. It is used to build mosques and madrasahs and to promote Islam. Even if it is used to build orphanages, the idea is always to raise children as fanatical Muslims and soldiers of Allah. The most vicious and the most inhumane protectors of the mullahs in Iran are known as basijis. They are mostly children of the Iranian soldiers who were killed in the Iran Iraq war and raised as orphans by the Islamic regime to become their henchmen. They are brainwashed killing machine. The regime has turned them into monsters. They have no qualm butchering the people to protect the mullahs. These were orphans raised by the mullahs. Muslims don’t do charity works without any strings attached. Once you stop paying zakat you are not financing Islamic terrorism. Do your charity personally where you can see how the money is used.
Also don’t go to the mosque. Your attendance only strengthens Islam in the same way that the attendance of ordinary Germans in Hitler’s rallies made him stronger. If more people don’t give their support to this cult of death, Islam will become less relevant.
Support
You need support, but unfortunately this is hard to get when you live in an Islamic country. I suggest you join an online community of apostates. You can find many people in your situation. Those who have left Islam can share their experiences with you.
If you live in a non-Muslim country, particularly in a European or American country, there are organizations that can provide temporary shelter for those people whose life are in danger. Young women particularly are in danger.
Should you join another religion?
This is a very personal choice that only you can make. Many apostates of Islam choose to remain irreligious. Some still believe in God and some don’t and some become agnostic. Others join a different faith. Each person has a different need and so are our choices. Whatever you do, don’t join another fanatical faith. You don’t want to come out of the frying pan to fall into the fire. Follow your reason. Even if you go wrong, you can correct it.

I strongly suggest you continue visiting your psychologist and trust him. These thing you say are your perceptions. Girls don't flirt and kiss other boys to tease you. They do it because they are looking for a mate. This is normal. If men (boys) are unkind to you it is because the way you interact with them. You need psychiatric help. But don't feel bad about it. You are a beautiful child of God and loved by him equally. Just as some people are born with physical handicaps, it seems that you have a mental challenge that you need to overcome. Trust in God and follow the instructions of your psychologist of psychiatrist. Your problems will not go away if you change your country. You can certainly apply for work visa and if you are qualified you may get a visa to migrate to a non-Muslim country. Of course life is easier here but you will bring your problems along. Trust your mental health doctor and trust God. We can't help you from the long distance. You need to see your mental health provider.

I would like to post one of my experiences while I lived in Africa.There was a man who lived with his wife deep in the forest where my father had a timber mill.The nearest village near him was populated by Muslims.Our subject was of no religion[known as mpagani in Swahili and sometimes as kaffiri]One day his wife died and he did not know how to bury her in a right manner.So he asked the villagers for their help."Oh no we can not touch a kaffiris body.Firstly you have to be converted to Islam and ALSO YOUR DEAD WIFE"My father came to hear about the mans dilemma.He arranged for some of his workers to bury the woman in the presence of a Catholic priest.We heard later that the man converted to Catholic religion.

Muslims and also some Christians believe that God created them in heaven or it was by intelligent creation process and not like the rest of us infidels who evolved from monkeys.Which means that their biological make up must be different than ours.Their blood is different,internal organs are different which means that when it comes to blood transfusion or life saving organ transplants these things will not match.The most stupid example is of the late leader of North Korea who we are told was born out of light from above and during all of his life time he never went to toilet..
Muslims believe that when a good Muslim dies and is buried his body is reconstructed bit by bit in heaven.If he was not a good Muslim his body ends up in hell where he is revived to be tortured for ever and ever.My point is that all Muslim graves must be empty.So how come Yasser Arafats body was exhumed for medical checks to determine whether he was poisoned or not by Israels secret service.Did he not go to heaven or did he come back to earth from heaven ? I am not an expert on muhammadanism but I would like you to examine the life and claims of Muhammad who founded the 'religion'. You will find his claims and life to be completely incongruous with those of a prophet.
Muhammadans claim that Muhammad was the best of creation. But he was a rapist, mass murderer, an armed robber, a pedophile who was responsible for many wars. Destruction and misery are the direct outcomes of war. Ask yourself if a true prophet would have caused more than 60 wars and personally led 25 of them in the last 10 years of his life. That was what Muhammad did. He encouraged slavery and slave trade. The articles of trade or chattels were children whose fathers Muhammad had killed in his wars. Women captives were distributed among his followers to serve as sex slaves. Saki, how would you feel if a man killed your father, enslaved you and your brothers and caused your mother, sisters, aunts and cousins to be raped? That was what Muhammad did and he is to be emulated.
Muhammad caused hatred against those who did not believe in him or his rantings. To be saved from his murderous rage, he decreed that one MUST embrace his course. For that reason, any community which rejected him was attacked without warning. Muhammad introduced violence on a scale that had never been seen before his emergence. His followers have built on this and are causing mayhem around the world. Muhammadans are responsible for not less than 90% of all violence in the world today. Are those from a religion of peace?
To prove that Muhammad was an impostor, he claimed that God had revealed everything to him including all the things which will happen on the Day of Judgment. He claimed to have the key to paradise. He claimed that he was the final prophet who was above even the angels and on the Day of Resurrection he will intercede for muhammadans. Yet that same god did not reveal to him that he was going to be poisoned. That god abandoned him to die a degraded death after three years of excruciating agony. He wrote in the quran that evil doers go through the agony of death. But when the pain that killed him was intense, he prayed to his god to "save him from the agony of death". Saki, that was self confession by the man that he was an evil doer.
Naturally a prophet, who has served his God well, as Muhammad claimed, will be happy to see the 'hour come' because he will receive his eternal reward. Not so with Muhammad. Once there was an eclipse and Muhammad was frightened that it was the Day of Judgment. This raises some fundamental questions. Why was a true prophet afraid of judgment day instead of looking forward to it? Being afraid means that he knew of the punishment that awaited him for the falsehood he perpetrated. If truly he was a prophet, why did allah not warn him about the event that was about to happen whether it was eclipse or Judgment Day? The answer is that Muhammad was never any prophet. He was a liar to the core who used brute force to terrorize people and make them swallow his lies.
No true religion is afraid of dissension. People should be free to hold contrary opinions and apostatize if they want to, This is not true of muhammadanism. Free thinking is apostasy and carries with it the death penalty. Because muhammadanism is scared of free thinking, islamic countries remain virtually insulated and are under the most draconian laws especially as they affect the rights of women.
Muhammad's claim that what he founded was the cap on the earlier revelations is a mountain of false hood because muhammadanism is so diametrically opposed to those earlier ones that all of them could not have come from the same source.
On his deathbed Muhammad cursed the Jews and Christians for burying their dead in places of worship. To show the hypocrisy in this, Muhammad was buried in the largest mosque in Medina. Muhammad arrogated to himself several privileges which he denied others. That was not the hallmark of prophethood.
When about to die he was asked what would happen to him. He replied that he did not know what allah was going to do to him. A true and faithful prophet would have had no hesitation about the hereafter.

Coming to your question of what Islam is, very precisely and in very short, Islam is the believe that Muhammad was a divinely inspired person whose every word, even in its literal sense, and act is worth following. So if he says that the Quran is a revelation, you believe it, if he says that disbelievers in him being a messenger of God are not to be taken as friends, you obey him etc.
I'm a Muslim-born young boy in my teens who's really in a pickle as to what the true nature of Islam is (I'm not very religious), which seems to be due to the conspiracies that surround it. I'd honestly like someone to give me a thoughtful and unbiased response as to what Islam is.
I think that it'd be best that to have something to think about until I finally come to the part in my life when I decide to become a full Muslim or lead my life as an Atheist.

Without the hadiths almost nothing will be known about Muhammad.as the quran contains only his opinions. Those who reject the hadiths do so out of shame because of Muhammad's evil the hadiths expose. Hisham, while reviewing ibn Ishaq's book, said that he had to omit many facts because they would have made many people rather uncomfortable. If what the sira contains is the polished image, it leaves to be imagined what the full undiluted form would have read like.The quran itself has cautioned muhammadans not to ask questions as the answers will discourage them to leave as the earlier people did.
Initially, all muhammadans took pride in the "sunnah of the prophet" just like the Nazis were proud to keep record of their atrocities. They never imagined that it would boomerang. Today many of them are ashamed of the content and rush to either distance themselves by denying that they events ever took place and that whatever has been written are pure lies or that the hadiths are not revelations and as such are not authentic sources. There are a few Muslims who believe the Hadith are untrue (Quran only Muslims) but they are a very small minority.

Actually compared to other religions which allow conversion, more people do convert to Islam. But this is hardly because they see some kind of spiritual light in Islam. All the 3 persons who I have personally known to have converted to Islam have done so because their would be husband asked them to since apparently they can't marry a non-muslim. Although 3 is rather a small number to draw conclusions from, thats as many as I know of.

They continue their usual mosque attendances and schedules, but they reject to even listen to it and think of something else. Indoctrination comes from listening and accepting. If they want to be an atheist they can pretend to do the ceremonies but think of something completely different. If they want to convert to another religion, they can continue going to the mosque but the prayer is directed at someone else. In this way even large number of Muslims can leave the religion without bringing harm to themselves or their family. The image that lasts for a certain duration under certain conditions seems real till it ends . When a man goes into a sound dreamless state of sleep, the whole world will vanish in relations to him and he will not be conscious of any phenomena around him.All the persons and possessions to which one is attached vanish in the state of deep sleep.

3. Shatpath Brahman gaves a beautiful analogy – That just as exhalation and inhalation happen, all forms of knowledge – Vedas, Upanishads, Formulae, History etc – get manifested and get submerged in Supreme Being. Thus like breathing, this is a cyclical process.
On this analogy, skeptics raise several questions.
First they raise doubt that this shows that God is human like. However this is a silly doubt because this is only an analogy. Knowledge cannot come out from nostrils!
Second, they say that Vedas are not exclusively mentioned. Hence either every knowledge is divine or nothing is divine. This is also shallow logic. Because:
– divinity of Vedas is not same as divinity of Bible or Quran. Divinity in context of Vedas only means that eternal laws of nature as represented in language is unchangeable.
– mention of various fields of knowledge shows a process. First the Vedas are mentioned and then other fields. This means that first wisdom of Vedas is imbibed and then other fields of knowledge emanate from the Vedic wisdom.

If you are in a free democratic country, are financially independent or have managed to fund your education – renounce it openly. Don't follow its medieval, regressive, meaningless rules. If a friend or family question you on it, explain your reasons with humility. But if someone tries to impress on you that you are missing out on the heavenly houries, do give them a big piece of your mind. 🙂
If you're surrounded by blood-thirsty Salafis, then it's not a good idea to be very vocal about it, unless you have a big political clout yourself. Just don't follow the principles in your mind. If it's an option to stay out of another gathering where there'll be calls for death of America/Israel, just stay out of it. Bring up your children in a way that they appreciate rational thinking and love fellow humans, regardless of their religion, race or country. Save your children from political Islam, the best you can. This way the world will be rid of this destructive philosophy.

As I was just commenting on another thread, we need to focus on the main issue of the blog, which is mutual tolerance of different faiths. Religions will always exist where there are people around on earth, so please dont berate each other. Islam and it's inherent difficulty to tolerate others is the issue here.
You may have good reasons to adhere to your own faith (which is not to have any faith) but others here have similar rights to adhere to their own faith too, AS LONG AS WE ABIDE BY THE GOLDEN RULE.
I know about the point you made. I threw my Bible right away many years ago the minute I saw those words. How can the universe be made in 6 days!!! This is absurd and illogical! Then i read physics and it talks about time being relative. Suppose you are able to travel at close to the speed of light to the scorching sun and back, it will take a fraction of a second or a nanosecond. However, if your friend waiting on planet earth for you to return, his watch on his wrist will register about 16 mins. Because it is proven fact that light rays reach the earth in approx 8 mins. So whose clock is right? Your 16mins or your friend's which says time almost stood still? Same journey. Same event.

The speed he used to create – was it based on the gravity-time dimension of earth, or was it near the speed of light or at the speed of light or beyond the speed of light? Do we really know?
In any case, the original text was not 'day'. It was 'age'. In other words, a period of time. The fact that some words might be passed down or interpreted inaccurately only prove the falliblity of man. It does not prove that followers of other religion, as such me (Christianity) is dumb.

If (the Mohammedan) God be merciful, why has He sanctioned that men should inflict great suffering on other creatures by killing them for their food? Are not these animals innocent? Are they not His creatures? He should have also advised men to begin only good deeds in His name and not evil ones. Thus the passage (under discussion) is quite ambiguous. Should even such sinful acts, as theft, adultery, untruthfulness in speech, begun in God's name? Very likely it is on account of this ambiguity that the (Mohammedan) butchers etc., mutter "In the name of God, the compassionate, the most Merciful as the moment of cutting the throats of cows and other animals."
It is clear then that the Mohammedans do begin even evil deeds in the name of God. I differ from your understanding of religion. I would not advise to anyone to leave religion (dharma) but to leave cult. When you talk of religions your views are based on Semitic religions. But according to sages and Veda religion (Dharma) is different. According Sages and Veda one must uphold the dharma (religion) always. Traits of religiosity are:-
Rigveda 10.161.3
– Your analysis of right and wrong should be unbiased and not specific to particular set of people
– You should organize together to help everyone enhance their health, knowledge and prosperity
– Your minds should be devoid of hatred and should see progress and happiness of all as one’s own progress and happiness and you should only act for enhancement of happiness of all based on truth
– Work together to eradicate falsehood and discover truth
– Never ever deviate from path of truth and unity
2. Yajurved 19.77
– All humans at all times should have passion only for adoption of truth and rejection of falsehood. This should be a continuous process and one should keep detaching faith from what one discovers to be false and keep attaching faith to what one discovers to be true based on analysis, logic, facts and evidence.
5. Yajurved 19.30
– When one resolves to adhere to truth, she becomes eligible for bliss and truth. When she becomes eligible, she starts getting rewards in form of knowledge and satisfaction. Such rewards strengthen the resolve and enhance the faith towards pursuit of truth. As the faith enhances, so does the bliss and knowledge one gets. And eventually this leads to ultimate bliss or Salvation.
